Zheng Zhang, Ph.D., DABR
University of Michigan Radiation Oncology
I am a clinical assistant professor and board-certified medical physicist with the Department of Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan. I am currently striving to establish an independent research program on low dose radiation therapy (LDRT) for osteoarthritis (OA). My research is situated at the interdisciplinary frontier of physics and biology, leveraging the physics expertise in the precision and rigor of radiation delivery, to investigate fundamental molecular mechanisms underlying LDRT for OA. I am also passionate about engaging patients and care-givers as equal partners in both research and quality improvement. To this end, I most recently completed the training program, as a scholar in the inaugural cohort, of the Michigan Embedded Learning Health System Training and Research ( MEL-STaR) AHRQ P30 Funded Center.
